Syria through time is known as the land of giving and richness,
her generous resources gave her community the opportunity
to be leaders in Trade and Industry.
From this base Mustafa Al-Midany known as Al-Rankoussi was
one of the pioneers in the fabrics industry in Syria. In
1935 his sons (Ahmad, Mahmoud & Mohamad Rankoussi) followed
his lead and established Rankoussi BROS Company for textile
production.
This first generation started fabrics’ production and specialized
in the creation of Damascene “Brokar art” in magnificent
manners.
Then came the second generation (Walid, Nabil, Mustafa & Samih
Rankoussi), who beside of the first generation company, started
a new business line in manufacturing sponge. Afterwards they
established a new company “Rankdak” (Rankoussi & Dakak)
for non-woven products. And in the attempt of entering new
industries, they lunched Al Walid Co. which produces dairy
and fresh juices.
Subsequently came the third generation, the son of Mr. Samih
Rankoussi, Mr. Wael Rankoussi established a company under
the name of Samih Rankoussi and Sons Co.
SAMIH RANKOUSSI, born in 1950 in Damascus, is the president
of Rankoussi company and under his guidance the company undergone
a great and successful decisions which reflected on the company
a great financial and market position.
WAEL SAMIH RANKOUSSI, born in 1975 in Damascus. He followed
business and marketing courses in Canada which gave him the
ability to be the General Manager in Rankoussi Company, since
he has taken over this position, the company took large and
quick steps in diversification into new projects and new
markets and proved to be one of the most financial solid
establishments in the country.
MOHAMAD SAMIH RANKOUSSI, born in 1982 in Damascus. He followed
economy courses in university of Damascus, and he is a member
of “CIM - The chartered institute of marketing”. He is the
manager of Marketing and Projects section in the company,
and he handled very important achievements by taking over
projects and delivering them very successfully.
MOUAZ SAMIH RANKOUSSI born in 1987 in Damascus. He is the
youngest son of Mr. Samih Rankoussi, he is following courses
in business, marketing and accounting in the American University
of Beirut, and he will join the company as soon as he completes
courses.
